It will be because someone operated an aircraft in a manner deemed unsafe and/or not in accordance with FedEx's/FAA's standards - PERIOD.

Please place blame/responsibility where it belongs.

Pardon me. I should have used the word facilitated. Not blaming the OP. But, if the Company only knew about the occurrence due to this thread, I guess the thread would be a causal factor in any disciplinary proceedings. As I said, food for thought. If I havent clarified myself, sorry.

In my freight dogs days in the three-holer, we used to have contests going into the hub whenever it was VMC. The rules were that once you pulled the thrust levers to idle on approach above 5,000', you could not move them again until the completion of the landing roll. The A/C had to be fully configured by 500' AGL as per company SOP. Talk about a great exercise to learn how the aircraft performs during the configuration process.

The good old days.

G'Luck Mates:)

I miss 'em too! Cheers!!

maybe the company saw the video on YouTube directly (& not from the link on this forum) just like the guy who posted the link on this forum AFTER he saw it on YouTube.

The point is - assume that the company (& the FAA) is ALWAYS watching you when you operate THEIR aircraft - nothing is secret in the age of the internet - anyone can record anything any time anywhere and it instantly becomes public knowledge - pilot web forum or no pilot web forum.

That was my point - I think we agree who is ultimately responsible & what the "causal factors" would be IF anyone loses their job over this event = the pilot and the act, not the recording/reporting of it.

Its not normal. The idiot put the gear down way to late. No wonder Fedex has one of the worst accident records in the industry.

Nice  Hope you don't have an app on file. I'd hate for you to have to fly in an environment you feel is unsafe. If you forward me your info, I'll be sure to pass your sentiment up the food chain.

Whaledriver101 has already been rejected, you can tell by looking at his previous posts. Consider him a troll and you wont be to far off.

Roger.....figured it might be something like that. Thanks LAG

I shouldn't have come back here. It's much more fun sitting in the outdoors trying to put meat in the freezer.

FDX & LJ. I just made a couple of comments. Look at the Fedex accident history and the video. What did I say that was untrue??

Who's the idiot? (Or is it whose?)

I always get a chuckle when someone lacking the knowledge of the difference between its and it's or between to, too, and two has the audacity to call someone else an idiot.

Assume every approach you fly is videotaped, and every post on this forum is not anonymous.
