"Fiscal Cliff" Implications

We will trickle hire until we enter 4A2b (If we enter it, which I think is likely considering Europe's economy) Hiring will start again when they're ready to exit 4A2b. 4A2b has to stop the bid month after someone is hired unless the hiring is via court order or arbitration award.
No more running very lean during peak and paying a premium for having too few to fill the schedule. With the 4A2b option, it's cheaper to continually risk having too many crew members in the spring and summer. Peaks without as much AVA and draft are a significant savings. That makes a period of 4A2b pay for itself very quickly, or so I'm figurin'. No offsite training as vacancies never become critical. Less draft year round as the majority of bid packs are near the low end.
It's a new paradigm.

Less draft year round as the majority of bid packs are near the low end.
