Cool...though it would have been more interesting IMO had it went to some outpost in BFE via some feeder planes in addition to the FDX heavies.

Occoquan, VA to a tiny island in the middle of the massive Pacific... Doesn't get much more BFE than that.:)

A Cessna caravan isn't dramatic enough compared to a massive MD11 taxiing right towards you... Remember they are trying to sell ad space! :p

I caught that too, and while he's talking about the pie getting airborne, they were showing a bus take off...

Hey, when has the media ever been accurate about anything concerning aviation? Just read the Commercial Appeal. They could have shown an ATR taking off and a majority of the public would have believed it.

But it was good PR for the company and everyone involved in the process.

Kind of like landing in Memphis before we took off in Asia.
