30 777's Ordered this Month from undisclosed

30 from one customer seems strange. Big Money. This is why it may be UPS. To fill the Postal contract and TNT? Lol-

The 747-4 or -8 is not the correct aircraft in my opinion for UPS.

Emirates Cargo? They are the biggest threat to FDX and UPS, IMHO.

Could be a leasing company.

Could be Emirates. They have the $. But they also have Ton's of Belly capacity.

The article that I read from a Chicago newspaper said Boeing picked up 50 new jet orders and named a bunch of the buyers. Then it said 30 jets from customers (plural) that Boeing wouldn't identify. Where did you hear or see that it's 30 from the same company?

Hmmm ... Good point, here's the press release

Boeing books 47 net new plane orders in latest week - Yahoo! Finance

Difficult to tell from the article since the 777 orders are lumped together with unidentified 737 orders as well. Could be 1 customer for the 737s and 1 for the 777s or any combination therein. Would have been a little more helpful if they had said they were freighters or not...

"The 50 new orders include four 767s for FedEx Corp (FDX), one 777 for the Republic of Iraq, and 15 737s and 30 777s for customers that Boeing did not identify."

That said it's been over 5 years since our last aircraft order (27 767s), so the timing looks promising...

...for a Chinese airline..lol

They don't specify which variant of 777. Lots of wishing when no one knows if they are -Fs or not.

LOL ...

If it is a UPS order, it would maybe be for 10 of the B777s. Which will coincide nicely with parking 30 MD-11s and furloughing another 100.

You heard it here first !

And by the way, the B777s will be based in ANC, except for the 50 management check airman assigned to the fleet.

:D

Keep that sense of humor !
