Obviously, management by objective is at work here. The rollout has been a disaster, the product is weak, everyone is confused...yep, feels just about right!

A standard USB port doesn't provide enough power to charge an iPad. It can recharge an iPhone. The newer iMacs have updated USB ports with more power to charge the iPad however that doesn't do us any good in the cockpit.

But the good thing is, you will not be using your battery if you are at least plugged in to something. USB has power signaling and the hub and the device negotiate how much power the device is allowed to draw. It is OK to plug an iPad in to any USB port.

Walk straight down that Covered passageway until you come to the main street. Don't cross, turn right and walk 1-2 small Japanese blocks.
There is a Electronic department store on your right. This is where I found mine.
