No thread is EVER done as long it is still on topic and someone wants to say something they feel is relevant. Provided the posters remain within the limits set by the board of course.

Bitme: who bit you, and why didn't you tell them to bite you?

Are you trying to be biteme and just a bad speller or did somebody already bite you?

Curious minds and all.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't JL omit one MD-10 accident in MEM earlier this year from his list? Two MD-10's have sheared off a main gear in MEM within his timeframe of 1997 to present.

The MD10 earlier this year was purely structural failure and the crew is back on the line. The previous MD10 incident was copilot induced structural failure. I've flown with that one and she should have been fired years ago. There is some justification in JL's letters. The majority of us who just do the job right and go home found them entertaining and knew they applied to the nitwits. Every airline has its 1 or 2 %.

If I was FedEx pilot I would be totally offended by such a disrespectful letter. My point of posting it was because I felt it was totally disrespectful, unprofessional, and typical of a management pilot who doesn't have a clue about how authority, safety, and professionalism come together.

CAL, there was no fatigue, just bad airmanship.....trying to stab Jack behind his back on a blog is most probably more of what is wrong with this group than managers telling it as it is, or fatigue....
