That statement is one of the oldest cop outs in the history of this business. Reality is that Company's treating pilots like part numbers and pilots letting this occur by making CBA's that allow this type of thing to occur is what is behind many furloughs. Drastic things, real crises, can cause furlough.

The Cap and Bank style contracts cause airlines to over staff, likewise pilots refuse to give up a little of theirs when times get tough. I am not saying the FDX 4a2b provision is the answer as you need good policies in place to prevent as many peaks and valleys as you can. As long as we eat our young then I guess your statement holds some water.

I hope all the Brown pilots get back on the list and they send all you FQS to the furlough line, part of the business when you are an at will employee too

Wondered when you would have enough balls to show up. So do you now concede that you nor any of your buddies in management have any more information about anything that goes on here than the average line pilot? Please quit wasting peoples time and quit posting your dribble as to what is happening here at UPS. You management types don't know jack and if you did, none of us real UPS pilots want to hear it anyway! So p i s s off!

As a former loader and driver, GFYS!! Don't equate us hard-working folk with those corporate d-bags!

Will the UPS feeders be affected by this?

No idea. We're usually chock full of Amazon Prime, Zappos, and 1-800 Flowers.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the USPS stuff is more hub to hub?

Yes you are incorrect. Our day flights have cans loaded full of orange mail bags from every city we fly to.

I misspoke, to me Denver is a Hub. Difference in perspective.

I guess I meant to say it's more mainline flying to mainline destinations. Is FedEx putting USPS volume on their feeders?

No worries. I can't say yes for sure, but I would be surprised if the feeders did not have some mail.
