Does anyone know where the 767 LOA is? The emails from the union said it was posted on the alpa website but I can't find it. Thanks.SSH

It's been moved to the bottom of the Negotiating Committee page.

One more question, on this excess, going from a narrow body to a wide body, same seat, no seat freeze. BUT now before the 767 bid closes, suppose you are awarded a wide body FO seat on this excess bid and then bid the 767 wide body FO seat, would there be a seat freeze and how much?

thank you in advance
I got my answer from the company about a freeze on the 767 FO seat. The original question was: I was excessed off the 727 on Apr 29 and was awarded the Airbus FO seat. If I bid the 767 FO seat on May 6, would I be seat locked for 2 years on the 767?

No. because I would not have activated on the Airbus before being awarded the 767 FO seat and therefore would still be considered in excess even though the 767 was a vacancy bid.

24.E.1.c.i
Down/Lateral Bid Freeze
A pilot who is activated in a crew status that requires ITU training
based on a down/lateral bid shall be frozen in that crew status
for 24 months, commencing on his actual activation date. A pilot
is not eligible for a permanent crew position award requiring
ITU training with a projected training date during that freeze
period except under the following conditions:

i. the pilot was excessed or down/lateral bid to relieve an
excess; or

I referenced a different part of the contract to come up with the same conclusion but it was nice to get a confirmation from the company. Thanks to everyone who helped. FDXLAG, Jumbo Pilot, Overnitefr8

Interesting to me, since it sounds like you did not bid to relieve on 13-03 you would be trained in reverse seniority but now that you have bid into the 76 you will train in seniority order. Nice trick by the company.

As for how FDX decides to handle, that is up to them.

My guess for why they (Mgt) agreed to separate bid packs is there is No 767 sim yet, and everyone initially will go to Seattle to train and MGt didn't want to send 300 pilots offsite.

Just a guess
My money says: 767 guys will go to 757 school in MEM and get their 757/767 Type using our sims and our instructors. Then...until we get our first 767 SIM, they will go offsite to either SEA or MIA for 767 differences. Whether our guys teach or Boeing instructors do the DIF sim is TBD.

Default 757 v 767

So when would they activate as a 76 pilot? Upon completion of the 75 type or the 76 difference training?

You'd go to MIA. Boeing closed everything else. Hope you guys have some pull down there - the sims break down often and the head of 757/767 training is an EAL scab.

When do MD10 pilots activate in the MD10? FDX Pilots will be 75/76 qualified in the near future and all will need differences training. Remember all 75 pilots will have to be "qualed" to sit reserve, one could "activate" into the 76 bid pack and never have touched a real live 76. IOW there will not be a separate 75/76 track; all will get the same training.
