Sadly, those days are over. FedEx has seen the light of the UPS business model and how much more profitable it is. Shareholders are forcing FedEx to increase margins and this is the proven way to do it. Consolidate organic lift into as few, larger aircraft as possible with multiple stops and fly primarily, high revenue express parcels. Outsource to ACMI, leased belly space or other modes of transport, low yielding general freight. Only put that on owned aircraft is space is available.

Yep. All the passenger carriers drool over freight volume and fight for it. i.e. low cost.

I wonder what FedEx will call it. UPS calls it Supply Chain Solutions.
