Thumbs up FedEx Discounts with Dargal Interline

Hello Folks,

Just a heads up! Dargal Interline is now offering interline rates on Carnival. They may also be working with Disney Cruise Line in the near future, which in my opinion, is the best!

I work with Dave Tisdale who can take care of your travel needs if you need a "vacation"

The wife-ing device and I went on a Carnival Cruise last May. I was unable to get an "airline employee interline" rate as a FedEx employee.

I was able to get a military rate ...

Hey Mark,

This is a recent change!

I hope Disney follows suit!

I think you get the carnival deal being a ALPA member at least with other interline companies.

This is a recent change for Carnival to allow FedEx pilots the discount. May have to do with declining bookings as a result of their dismal recent record. Not sure I'd cruise with them at any rate (pun intended).

From past experience: Carnival is no more than a booze cruise for the WalMart crowd who won the scratch lotto.

Not true.

I had my better half peek behind the official curtain and there has indeed been a recent policy change.

Carnival Interline rates are available for full-time employees of:
- Passenger Airlines
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
- National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) – this is not for members of NATCA.
- Airline Pilots’ Association (ALPA) – this is not for members of ALPA.
- Amtrak Employees
- Federal Express Employees
- United Parcel Service Employees
- DHL Employees
- Airborne Employees

There also privileges for retired interline employees of Existing airlines. Interline rates are cheaper than the 'past guest' and even the military rate (only the carnival employee rate is cheaper).

To book a cabin, the airline employee can book either directly with Carnival (800-764-7419), go to an Interline Travel Agency or go to a regular Travel Agency.

Straight off the ALPA.ORG site

Carnival offers ALPA members interline rates, it has been there for I know 5 yrs.

Funny side item there are only about 6 discounts listed in all for being a member.

Wow, what part of "behind the official curtain" was confusing, must have gotten lost in the english translation. I should have said "wife [who works for them] looked behind the current, official CARNIVAL.com curtain". I'd give you the link as proof positive, but you don't have the proper security clearance to view it.

5 years ago Carnival offered interline rates for Pax AND Cargo folks and then, without explanation, a couple of years ago they stopped offering interline rates to Cargo folks. Apparently things have changed and they are offering the interline rate to us again.

I don't think ALPA updates that page very often, so the info there is probable 5 years old and quite stale. The discount you refer to says:
Carnival Cruise Lines wishes to extend all ALPA members and staff our great interline rates (30% to 60% off our regular rates). In addition, the interline rate can be extended to 2 additional cabins. All ALPA members will receive Personal Vacation Planning as well as no booking fees. To make your reservation or for more information, please contact ALPA's Personal Vacation Planner, Pedro Perea at 1-800-819-3902 ext 85619, or visit www.alpacruise.com.
Good Luck booking with Pedro-- the link is DEAD .

Sorry for the incredulity outburst .

I was just trying to confirm the Official Carnival Policy change and provide a full accounting of who IS currently eligible for Carnival's interline rates.

Is there no CRM on APC ??
