CDG Hyatt Etoile bus ??

I have used the Air France bus to get from the airport to the Concorde with good success. Is there a similar way to get from the airport to this new Hyatt Regency Etoile hotel?

The Walrus 05-04-2013 08:45 AM

It is the same hotel, different name.

Are you certain? I just stayed at the Concorde LaFayette and it hadn't changed names. Maybe you're thinking of a different Concorde.

Same Hotel

Yes, He's certain. I'm currently in the Hyatt (Old Concorde Lafayette) as I type this. The name has now officially been changed.

What do you want to know? Deviating into CDG? Spent all your DEV bank on a limo to work? Second cheapest option for getting from term 1 and 2 at CDG to (most) of our downtown hotels. (the cheapest BTW, is an RER ticket which can be purchased for 9.5 euro).
For the bus, the hardest part is finding the right location around the terminal. Make sure you get the LES CARS/AirFrance bus #2 and get off at the Porte Maillot stop. Hotel is next to the stop. I think the fare is 16 euros but I could be off a couple. Pay the driver with CASH. ;)
Bus #1 goes to the Gare de Montparnasse, which is by our Montparnasse hotel, I believe across the street. Bus # 4 goes to the Gare de Lyon, which is not next to the Bercy hotel but a nice walk (20 mins) or two subway stops away. Enjoy!

How much time do you have ? My preference is taking the RER B then transferring to the C. It's a bit cheaper, and easier to find than the Air France bus. You get to see some nice scenery you don't see on the bus as well.

I know both of those girls :p Thanks for the info.

I'll be sure to use Google next time so as not to bother "busdriver." Apparently, the 75 is the new "tool box" around Memphis :D

The RER costs 9.25 Euros.
Actually, IF you are down to your last Buck in your Deviation Bank or just plain Cheap, the Cheapest way is to Take the Roissy-Bus from CDG to Downtown Paris. You catch it down on ground floor Between Terminal 2 D-F when you come out from Baggage Claim, near rental car counters. You get on the one that takes you to L'Opera. (The Air France Bus has a stop there also.)
The Bus ride drops you off behind the Opera House. Look for Metro Sign and Take steps down to Opera Metro Station.
Then catch the Metro "8" from Opera, to Direction Balard get off @ Stop Concorde, then catch Metro 1 Direction La Defense get off @ Port Maillot. Walk to Check in Desk through Mall.
It is a little longer trip with more Stops but will cost 6.95 including Metro ticket .

I think even our tightest cheap wades would spring an extra 3 euros to avoid multiple transfers, but from some of the stories I've heard from FO's about cheap Captains, well......

I stand corrected on the RER fare, it is 9.25. BTW, this option could be faster than any road option if the traffic is bad.

Or one could always catch the Black Bus to the Marriott and hitch a ride to CDG ops and then wait in a recliner several Hours and try to catch a Ride in with a Operating FDX crew :D

FYI.....If you are going to ride the RER train/Metro - make sure you have Euro COINS to purchase ticket from the ticket machine - they do not take Euro paper money.

If all you have is paper Euro, you have to stand in line and buy your ticket from a real person = much bigger hassle.
