Anyone who has access to certain types of US mail must meet the 5 year requirement since certain types of classified material can be sent through the mail.

Doubt they will change that for us, and (for my selfish reasons) I hope they don't.

If what you say is true I guess the passenger airlines don't haul that sort of mail as there is no other airline with that requirement.
