We've got some changes on the table in our contract talks.

If they go through we'll probably be looking at layoffs. Or at least some lean years.

Put your stuff in but don't expect a real quick call.

Thanks for the quick reply guys. What kind of changes in your contract that could lead to layoffs if you don't mind me asking Huck?

Care to elaborate? I (and the others around me) sure would like more info if you have it. Layoffs or furlough? What "changes" are on the table?

FXDX,

As many of you have said, PBS is such a non-starter that it is likely a red herring to take your eye off the camel's nose in some other area of the tent.
I'm well aware of the constraints that the RLA places on labor, but if there were ever a strike-worthy issue at FDX, it would be PBS.
PBS will negatively affect everyone's career, pay, advancement, vacation, lifestyle for the rest of your career....not just 5 years like age 65.......what is mgt really after ?? Huck ???

Regards,
BG

Talk to some DAL folks about what happened to staffing/ manning after PBS was implemented.....that should answer your question sufficiently.
