Thumbs down Paris GT

Deviating 2nd leg scheduled deadhead and of course Ground trans is cancelled and over bank by $40 bucks...

I'm the only guy on the pairing, you'd think we could come to an agreement to keep the scheduled DH GT if you're coming in on the scheduled flight anyway... another one for the contract...

I'll probably just eat a cab, but does anyone have a better way from CDG Pax side to the Hyatt Regency (Old Concorde Lafayette)? Thanks!

After leaving customs, turn right and go down to the Air France bus stop exit. You have to pay in Euro's but the driver will make change. You are looking for the Air France bus going to Porte Maillot. Ask any of the baggage guys outside and they will get you at the correct stop (where two roads merge together in front of the terminal. You can search Concord Lafayette and several other suggestions as well here.

I have done this more than a few times already. You don't have to check the box to deviate on the second leg. Make no mistake, by deviating on the first leg the entire airline reservation will be canceled. However, rebook yourself on the same flight, and by not deviating on the second leg ground transport should be available.
I have done this domestically as well as internationally.

I've taken the Air France bus to Porte Maillot several times. Easy and painless, the bus stops right next to the hotel. I haven't done it in a few years but I seem to remember it costing only about 10 Euros ... especially good if you're short on deviation bank dollars

My last DH to CDG, I deviated first leg, arrived on the scheduled 2nd leg and expected my GT to be cancelled. I was on my own pairing. When I got through baggage claim, there was the dude with the FedEx sign and he had my name.

As posters have said...Air France #2 to Porte Maillot is easy, cheap and if your timing is lucky, not too long a trip downtown. Another option if you have the bank money (maybe 100€) is Chabe. They have a toll free number here in the States (800) 525-5750 and they'll take the company credit card. Good luck finding a cabbie who will take a card.

Shoot, wish I had known that. What are the chances if I called Hotel, Limos, and Catering that they'd reinstate the GT knowing I'm on the 2nd scheduled leg?

Yeah.... Right....!

Thanks all!

I'd call them for sure and if you don't get the answer you want, call back tomorrow on a different shift. You're authorized this ground transport if you're not deviating on the last leg. Just because you 'fat fingered' the deviation procedure doesn't negate your right to the transport. IMHO!

Called them and the guy said can't help ya... no biggy I'll get there either way, just should have deviated first leg only. Darn it!

... or you can avoid some of the "rush hour" traffic (depending on when you get in) by taking the RER to the Metro and get off (STS) at the Port Maillot stop. 9.50 euros.
