Question FDX: Chairman's Message - 12/13/13

I'm curious.

PiBS ...

Still on the table, or off the table?

As much hype as there was in the last Joint Council Meeting about this round of negotiations and the question of whether The Company would still be pushing PiBS (bad sign) or not (maybe we're getting somewhere), I'm a little surprised that it wasn't even mentioned in this Chairman's Message.

He said he would comment early next week on the details. Let's give them a little credit and room so they can digest it all so they can publish good data. He was very clear about that. I give him credit for at least communicating anything this fast.

OFF
Pretty sure the crew force was loud and clear about PiBS.

I will admit that the email did make it sound like a new deal just might be in place. Should be interesting to see the details.

You're not in management, are you?

What part of "No" did you not understand?

i don't want to be the Grinch, but as of Wednesday afternoon, the company was looking for concessions and offering nothing new that didn't include some form of PIBS. Maybe that changed Thursday but I doubt it. And I doubt we'll have a new contract next year at this time.
