Default Paris train question

I'd like to take the train from Paris to Milan instead of the scheduled DH. The train leaves from Gare de Lyon, and I believe I want to go to the Milano Centrale station for the short walk to the hotel in Milan. My issue is this: my layover is at the Airport Marriott. How do I get from Roissy to Gare de Lyon? It appears to be about a 7-8 hour train ride, and I'd like it to be all in the daytime so I can see the sights. So, I'm looking at an 8 am departure. How will I get to Gare de Lyon? How much time should I give myself. I've never caught a train from there, only passed through on the metro. Any pointers? Thanks.

The easiest method is by taxi. The hotel desk will call one for you. Be certain to tell them that you wish to pay by credit card. It will be around 55 Euro. Plan for a little extra time in the morning with the rush hour traffic. The second option is to take the RER B into central Paris and then switch to the local Metro. This will be a pain. The third option is to take the Air France bus from the CDG terminal. One of them goes to Gare de Lyon. It is cheap and easy. You can ride the free shuttle from the Marriott to the CDG terminal. Again, ask the Marriott desk for information.

If your deviation bank is tight, you can take the Marriott shuttle bus to Gare TGV. Walk downstairs, buy the 9€ RER ticket and take RER B from CDG to a Châtelet les Halles (take the "express" train that only stops about 4 times before Châtelet, otherwise it's every single stop - look at the stops the screens on platforms show), then take RER A from Châtelet les Halles to Gare de Lyon. During rush hour traffic, the RER will likely save you a lot of time compared to a cab. But if it's your first time doing it, you'll have to use extra time for all the steps, in which case the door to door taxi option that oweeo advised might be the better option. Just thought I'd list the RER option, since I prefer it over a cab.

Paris Metro is a free app to have in your iPad for some additional SA.
