Everts Air Cargo vs IFL Group

¡Hola! ¡Hola! ¡Hola!
I was wondering if anyone had a good run down of theses two outfits? I believe that Everts would most likely take 2nd place behind IFL Group but I'm not positive. Is there anybody on here who has worked for both places? Everts Air Cargo continues to post jobs on the orange board for Flight Engineers and DC-9 crews.

Muchos Gracias !!!!!!!!

the company(on the field) and the airport, are in Waterford, it is a nice area to live and there are neighborhoods that are right next to the airport. As far as the call out goes, 20-30 minutes is an easy time to make, I can say though expect long nights, they don't usually do overnight stays and you could go PTK-BRO-MIO-STL-PTK all within 18 hours, most of their 72's are based out of PTK, which is their main hub, if you are on the Convair's or 72's you will start out as an FE and work up from there, part of the reason I didn't apply despite it being minutes from my home is many guys I know who fly for them say they wish they had stayed "real pilots"..

However, to answer the original question I would give the cup to IFL Group they own the airports they have bases at, they have very good service and people, like I said the only thing that kept me from applying was I didn't want to fly sideways, Everts is good but I'd give it to IFL.

Ifl has hired into the right seat lately. They do have a two year training contract that is some astronomical figure though. Also you must live within 9 miles of the airport to continue employment. Either way they are known to have good equipment for old airplanes and take care of their folks considering the type of ops they do. Now also just for general info, all weight and balance, flights plans, and trip info is done by the crew on hard paper, flt plan.com etc etc... Their dispatch is simply customer service, ie if you call to book a flight. They are flight followers and that's it. Places like Kalitta actually have certified dispatchers and electronic flights plans waiting for the crew when they arrive.

From what I have heard of their training is that it is some of the best/most through training on the 727 in the Detroit area is ifl by far, so be ready for the fire hose. Sims are in Miami at pan am.

They do have a base in BRO I think it is, but they like to hire locals for that.
