Huck's First Poll

Do you turn on additional lights (i.e. wing inspection/turnoff lights) when crossing an active runway at night?

Also - if you are not FDX - does your company require this in writing - or is it merely technique? If you would name your airline it would help.

I'm doing a little research for a possible safety article..... Thanks guys!

Airmidwest/Mesa, all lights crossing an active runway day or night!

ExpressJet.... Wing inspection and strobes on while crossing runways....

Republic: Gotta turn on lights that make the aircraft conspicuous crossing all times.

FWIW: I'd do it anyway

Not required at big brown, but they are already on because it's dark. Plus it is cheap insurance, and ups pays the premiums.

Don't worry - nobody's writing anything but I got 63 votes so far....
