Bummer, it'll be interesting to see how all those morons in ILN will be supported with only the combis operating

It sounds like the 767s and the 757 freighters are gone. That only leaves work for three planes. All legacy ATI.

Dang...... I figured the airline would be kept for the combi flying (as I've said before) but dumping everything else is a shock to me. I figured two 757Fs and at least one 767 would be kept. Cargo jet came out of left field (but unfortunately it does make sense since it will simply be a turnkey type of deal once the airplanes are re-registered).
Basically the "cornfield crew" just wasted the FAA's time over the last 24 months. Such a shame all, good luck to those who aren't being kept for combi flying. Many knew this was inevitable though.

One of the ideas that was going around was putting the 4th airplane in a strategic place to cover RJTY and PHIK flying (if one breaks) and also market it for charters. I only heard this once or twice, so it was probably just a farfetched rumor.
This current plan would leave four airplanes with three having work.
As you probably know, National (NCR) kept one of the four combis (the other three are 752/3/4CX) and I think they've got their STC/approval as well since their airplane is doing some flying now, the last I knew. So your idea isn't as impractical as it might have been a year ago.

So what's the latest at ATI? Any furlough numbers yet?
How many crews will remain to fly the 3 combi's? As lucrative as DOD flying is, you still have to wonder if they can make a profit with only three aircraft operating and their overstaffed mgmt. They've been unprofitable for the last couple years. I hear the legacy ATI and legacy Capital pilots are fighting over who should fly the combi's.
This mgmt group successfully destroyed Capital and now they're running ATI into the ground. ATI was a great little airline before the cornfield crew got involved.
