I see four possible outcomes of this announcement (in order of most probable to least probable):
1) ATI is closing (no date given until combi flying is transferred)
- The 757 combi STC for 751CX and the flying is put up for bid
2) ABX will be taking over IXXA394N and ATSG will be transferring the combis to ABX
- Out of this will come current 757 crews (pilots/FAs) transferred to ABX and an aircraft fence setup
- ATSG/ABX finishes the current AMC contracts before a decision is made to re-bid for them
3) ATI stays open and retains IXXA394N for the combi flying solely
- The current ATI is gutted to a skeleton workforce
4) ATI is sold off and gets out of the ATSG cluster *******
- New 119 personnel are brought in and ATI has a second chance

Anyone else hearing the rumor of Kalitta getting DHL 767s in the next few months? I'll believe that when I see it but maybe it could all tie in together.

Kalitta....767's... nothing is impossible... but haven't even heard a peep of such a rumor. Begs the question... are you talking Kalitta LLC(742s and 744s) or Kalitta Charters(DC-9s and 727s)?

I don't know. I assume CKS. Only hearing this from a friend of a friend who is a 744 capt and supposedly has been approached by a few people since he/she has a 767 type as well. Those people indicated up to 20 767s owned by DHL for South America.

One thing that's been consistent in my years being caught in the tempest that is "DHL," this kind of rumor is ongoing and never-ending. Has to do with their business model, the plethora of contractors, I suppose. Gets wearisome, seems like there's always some "big announcement," with the biggest news being your job is going away... again. Often their "expansion" seems to be substituting one airplane, one company for another. It looks like the DHL business is growing and will continue to grow, but the only benefit individual pilot groups seem likely to see is the possibility that you might maintain status quo (i.e.: your job) long enough to "retire."

Agreed. That is what I told my friend as well about DHL. I'll believe the 767s at CKS the day one arrives on their property.

So that rumor is starting to spread , going viral so to speak , I'm of the school of thought believe it when you are in school for it , or it's on the ramp, but it's made for some interesting talk on the crossings.

Well, was there an announcement?

Basically it was a contract negotiation opening. ATI pilots make too much money and we need to take a pay cut.
