Interesting to note that PHL, BDL & STL are already served by ABX 767 (PHL) & ATI 757 (BDL/STL). Not actually "adding" flights. Typical DHL shell game.

That's a pretty good downsize in airframe, going from a 767/757 to a 737. Is DHL's volume so low that they can't fill up the larger a/c in those cities?

It is more that the volume is focused on high yield international shipments, as opposed to two day old Amazon stuff.

BDL & STL are combined with ROC/MCI, so it's theoretically possible that all 4 cities are getting terminators. Or possibly the 757/767's will be used so that other cities can get terminators (i.e.: GDL/QRO). Supposedly the 737 is being added for expansion/growth.

While I didn't listen to the ATSG 4Q conference call, those that did said it was mentioned that the 757 were soon to be placed on CMI dry lease to CJT.

DHL has always flown those trips the same, or some combination similar, at least since 1995-2009 when I was there with DHLAirways. I hope Speed is right.

They just put out a job posting. What is the hiring for? Are they hiring into the 737?

The CP said on the last recall the junior pilots returning from furlough would be furloughed again after the 400s went at the end of the summer.

Are the 400s staying or did more people quit than expected, or are they getting more aircraft?
