IMHO, any negotiating capital should be spent for something that will benefit the majority.
Guys that got hired in their mid forties in the mid 2000's will never get to see a high five of that magnitude, unless there is some upwards ascension.

How about a bump from 25 years to 28 years of max years of credit without changing the 2% per year. Max 56%
And/or increasing the max from 260 to 300.
There are a lot of Tiger guys that will have 28 and age 60. Could tempt folk to wander off. I think there are guys staying just to see what happens.

Starting pay is 325K and reduces by 10K per year until your 25th year of service and then reduces at a rate of 5K per year. Your 401K and your "high-five" would be front loaded and maxed out. Stay as long as you want!

I have an idea but when I ran it past our old negotiator (BC) he said I was smoking dope. FOR EVERYONE HIRED AFTER THE CONTRACT IS RATIFIED:

Generally I agree, one thing we shouldn't do is what we did in 2006 when the negotiating committee negotiated a 25K (++) bonus for themselves and their cronies whether they retired or not. But one of the reasons to stay until 65 is healthcare. With obumblecare it will only get more expensive especially for rich retirees with younger wives.
