UPS DC8 at IAD

Anyone know what happened to the DC8 this morning at IAD? The weather was very foggy (RVR 1400v2000). We were taxiing out on Z and he was getting towed on taxiway Y. Looked like he may have tried to turn early, but stopped just in time. Maybe too tight to taxi out of the jam. I hope everyone's OK.

that dc8 (flt 1212) was due to land in bwi..declared an emergency and landed in iad..not sure what the emergency was...bwi was 300 over this morning, I think iad was a bit better...

Two nights ago, in OAK, I had to hold on a taxiway for a short while as FedEx maintenance finished yanking a UPS DC8 out of the mud on B between the UPS and FedEx ramps.

Where'd FedEx get a DC8 tow bar?? :)

It seems that the ground guys get along much better between companies than we do. That's too bad as I always try to remember that flying is a "cooperate and graduate" environment. FedEx probably had an old DC-8 tow bar hanging around from the days of the Tiger;)
