While I get your general intent, who do you think is sitting across the table from our negotiators?
Nothing dumb, daring or different.... just the contract.

Resources are managed
People are led
However, in the world of aviation safety one commonly looks at:
Man, Machine, Medium, Management and Mission
If you're going to effectively talk/preach to people about safety, it requires true leadership

Of course there is a management guy there, I think it is JP this go around, but it doesn't make all that much difference. The general intent of my post is that we are battling lawyers, who more than likely have more on the ball than our crack managers. They get some of their input from management.

I think this falls under words and phrases managers aren't allowed to use.
When they ask about any "vacation" distractions affecting you, with a quick wink, they're really asking about their failure to negotiate.
The answer is - Yes, we are approaching systemic failure

BM Email - Letter to Captains
Ah, the elephant in the room is finally acknowledged...due to "an increase in the number and frequency of inflight events."
There's a simple solution...and "making Safety our number one priority" is not it.

I wonder if talking about BM's $250K fuel sense bonus, and speculating on his potential sick note bonus would be considered a distraction!
