The proverbial elephant in the room.
I'd say the Company Negotiating Committee should be considered "amateur" rather than "professional" due to their lack of "diligence" over the past 39 months. Apparently no one told them we're the "best group of aviation professionals in the industry."

I just love how these toads in Management (RF, TM, BM) love to hammer everyone for not being vigilant and yet, if you look at their schedules, they sit safely in their little OFC cubicles, flying an occasional afternoon joyride with their buds. For them to put their ticket on the line (never) and then put out their little missives...it's nauseating. This is not to absolve me personally of being vigilant...everyone makes mistakes. But these clowns really have no idea what goes on out on the line because they never fly it. I'm slightly sick of hearing them preach from their exalted positions. Fly your contract, boys and girls.

It’s been said that the difference between an amateur and professional is diligence.
This is the time of the year where there are many distractions; Kids graduating, family vacations to plan and the vacation itself.
Given the recent increase in FAA inquires and possible flight violations, it is time that we...return to our normal highly diligent position as the best group of aviation professionals in the industry.
While each one of these events, individually, may not be an indicator of a System failure, collectively they should concern us all.

Yes the distractions have been piling up. They hope we aren't about to reach the point of system failure. There isn't a good prediction model for it. They can only record it when it happens.
What do you think PC is telling his bosses? Is he as concerned about it as we and the writer of this message seem to be?
Not too long ago we were worried about the safety record of the MD-11.

Don't know of too many conversations in the cockpit recently about graduations, vacations, and the like. Seems to be more about sick policies, negotiations, deviation webpages and things like that. Obviously mgmt doesn't know what is really distracting us. Only if it really were the items mentioned in the FCIF.

Fly rested, fly healthy, fly conservatively, fly safely!
