And if it doesn't pass the mustard. Then I'll vote no. We need qol improvements. 100% dead head pay, business class travel, leave the health insurance alone, 16 days total duty days including travel days, higher monthly guarantee, better scheduling language. Those are just my wishes.
Now granted to duty day's have to include your travel day's none of this loosing a day BS. Higher monthly guarantee and business on International FULL STOP, none of this "If over........ etc" BS and even for domestic for say over 3 hours. These coast to coast with 1 or 2 stops and 7 hours in the back of the bus to get get told 2.5 it's a commute rubbish.

Not what I am hearing from a person involved. It is not the Union or the Management. It is a Union Management person. In my opinion, after hearing from the person who is involved on the Union side, this Union manager is not acting in the best interest of our pilots, he is acting in the best interest of the pilots that he works for at his day job. 😡

THE ONLY REASON YOU DON"T HAVE A TA IS BECAUSE CONNIE DOESN'T WANT TO GIVE YOU A TA. Connie is in total control. He has been for 6 years. At anytime he could have given you a new contract but he didn't want to then and he doesn't want to now.

Still spouting the same old lies. I heard from a secret guy that I won't name that DW is using Kalitta Pilots to help Atlas Pilots.

I don't think you really understand what is really going on behind the scenes here. We do agree on one thing though. Connie is a businessman and he will do what is good for him and him only. That has nothing to do with this situation. This is a situation where OUR UNION has bargained in good faith and through market pressures has been able to get an agreement in principal on ALL items except a 20 HOUR DUTY DAY. Wells is using the argument that this is "lowering the bar because Atlas is negotiating for a lower duty day." Please tell me, that if what I am saying is true, that, it seem ok to you. If what I am saying is wrong then I will be happy to post my name on here and apologize to you. I happen to believe my Negotiation Chairman when he speaks and he speaks for me. I support MY union pilot group 100% and will strike, protest, or do anything else that is good for my pilot group to force this company to the negotiations table. What I will not support, is interference from an outside Union Leader who is clearly acting for the good of his own Company. I am interested in hearing your thoughts on this matter.
Spot On! +1.

But EVEN IF it was just the duty day issue then I oppose a 24 hr duty day. I have been in ACMI for well over 20 yrs. 24 hours is too long. Period. This should not even be an issue. The FAA focked us when they allowed the cargo carve out.
Kalitta pilots need a contract that pays enough that you don't have to wh@re yourself out for 24 hours. I understand what you are saying about needing to have a 24 hour duty day in order to make decent money. It doesn't need to be that way. The pay and benefits need to be such that you don't need a duty day that long.
If Connie gets a contract with a 24 hr. duty day then all the rest of the carriers in our industry are going to demand the same thing to be competitive.
I view this period of negotiations to be the best we in the industry have ever had it. Conditions are finally mostly on our side, not managements. Conditions may never be this favorable again in our working lifetimes. We need to raise the bar MASSIVELY with this contract or it may never happen for many, many years.
I hope Connie agrees to a decent contract in the immediate future. However, if he doesn't then I hope the NMB allows us to be walking a picket line together very soon. Make no mistake Atlas/Polar/Southern pilots will walk out with you if it comes to it. We hate our management way more than you guys hate yours. If we can support you and stick it to our management and DHL at the same time....we view it as bonus. We have 66.6 million reasons to do it.
