Yes, OE was a blast, but you need to keep reading up in the books. IRP is almost an afterthought, but make sure you develop a routine for doing that function. The learning never stops. You remember seeing everyone come in for aqp? Notice how pale and stressed they looked? Don't let that happen to you, stay in the books, use that PMDG addon for staying up on the CA flows.

You have to pick an airport in the 50 states to commute to and from that has commercial air service. Before the latest contract, interpretation of this requirement was for the most part "if you can get yourself to where one of our aircraft is we will just have you start your month there". On a month by month basis they would usually relieve you of the requirement to get to the US on your own. Sometimes if there was not an aircraft that you could "catch", you were stuck buying a ticket if you could not jumpseat. Under the new contract and management, there is an emphasis to keep crews on their lines. I suspect this will eliminate a crew members ability to start their trip somewhere other than the original departure point. At this time we have no trips that start in France.

I've been asked in multiple PM's so I figured I'd post it here. If you got the link to the training website here is how you find the flows/callouts/profiles. It's buried in a section you wouldn't expect them to be.
Click on 400 Pages>Extended Crew Library>400 AQP Training Scripts>Click Flows or Profiles
The PDF will then pop up to download.

A few questions.
Does K4 have kcm? In cass? Are you 74s cat iiib certified? Are you always on for 16 days and then off for two weeks? What kind of travel benefits do you get, if you have some time off and wanna travel somewhere? How's maintenance and safety?
Did a search and couldn't find the answers to these

No benefits for family, but you can jump seat. If you're off travel all you want as long as you show up back at work.
Mx and safety are good. It's not the same as back in 08.
