The chances of you bidding Xmas or Easter off as a newhire... pretty slim for Xmas... Easter.... just depends .....
Generally you will travel late on Day 0.. (last day off) to be in position by 5z on day 1. West coasters coming east bound have it worse.. but when they get west coast trips its better. Occasionally you will travel on day 1... but its pretty infrequent. Its more complicated than just making it home or not.... but if you are traveling home and say a plane breaks.. yes the company will put you up. There are criteria to meet but if you are truly late getting home ie.. not traveling home before 2359z on your last day... the company will owe you 6 hours of pay for the +1 day... its happens but again pretty rare. If you choose to stay out you will be paid per the OT rules.

I have seen varied answers on the forum. What is your take on an average number of pay hours in a month, for the 74. Just want to have a general comparison with my current company. Last year I earned 104k flying somewhat aggressively with 22 extra days.
Thanks again

74 guys are almost always going to break guarantee unless you just get stuck..... 76 will never break guarantee unless they work OT right now the way the schedules are.

I worked a split schedule in Feb followed by first 16 days of March. Last trip I was scheduled to be gone 25 days, but timed out at 120 hours in 22 days. That's how busy we are, and that's how its gonna stay for the rest of the year.

Yes sim eval is gone, now a 1 day process. Ramping up classes to 16 / class every 3 weeks. I know 2 people that interviewed and were offered classes within 24 hours, 3 weeks out or the coming Monday (4 days away) if they could make it.
