Generally you will travel late on Day 0.. (last day off) to be in position by 5z on day 1. West coasters coming east bound have it worse.. but when they get west coast trips its better. Occasionally you will travel on day 1... but its pretty infrequent. Its more complicated than just making it home or not.... but if you are traveling home and say a plane breaks.. yes the company will put you up. There are criteria to meet but if you are truly late getting home ie.. not traveling home before 2359z on your last day... the company will owe you 6 hours of pay for the +1 day... its happens but again pretty rare. If you choose to stay out you will be paid per the OT rules.
Thanks!

I have seen varied answers on the forum. What is your take on an average number of pay hours in a month, for the 74. Just want to have a general comparison with my current company. Last year I earned 104k flying somewhat aggressively with 22 extra days.

Thanks again

Lots of variables there.... my average hours for 2017 was 88 pay hours a month.. but I had 4 months at min guarantee due to training and union commitments. I worked 4 days of OT last year. Lots of 1st year FOs coming in at 100K I would bet... some guys have had some huge months... 120-140.. even 160 pay hours... one month you just might be out of position every time you fly and end up with mid 60s.. next month you are gasping for air because you are min rest everywhere and bust 100....

74 guys are almost always going to break guarantee unless you just get stuck..... 76 will never break guarantee unless they work OT right now the way the schedules are.

For 2017 I averaged 74 flight hours per month and 110 pay hours per month. That includes probably 10-12 OT days.

I worked a split schedule in Feb followed by first 16 days of March. Last trip I was scheduled to be gone 25 days, but timed out at 120 hours in 22 days. That's how busy we are, and that's how its gonna stay for the rest of the year.

I am hearing a test of some sort test and then a panel interview. No sim eval. After that, you know pretty quickly.

Yes sim eval is gone, now a 1 day process. Ramping up classes to 16 / class every 3 weeks. I know 2 people that interviewed and were offered classes within 24 hours, 3 weeks out or the coming Monday (4 days away) if they could make it.

Just curious what the rapid growth is for?
