As far as I know, the tests are NOT atp type written. You will have a dexterity test and a personality test. From what our chief pilot told me, the dexterity tests are very helpful to determine who will pass the sim eval. So far, everyone that has done well on the dexterity test, has done well in the sim. He would like to get rid of the sim eval; so he said to me. The personality tests seem to be working as well.

Actually I am happy here. I get frustrated with two departments: Scheduling and Travel. If it weren't for the problems caused by the people running the show over there, K4 would almost be perfect.

I can think of far worse places to be, who's to say others have it better?

Scheduling could be almost perfect and we would still be frustrated with them. They're fine. Travel however is a festering wound on the company's back side thanks to their fearless leader.

Well, the only thing I can suggest is buckle up for the long haul. He's not going anywhere for a long time. I've been here longer than SR and there's been rumors that he's leaving ever since he's been here. Don't believe the rumors till the company says he's gone.

I think a lot of the issues that the pilots are having with scheduling is that some pilots think that the schedulers are the boss. They tend to argue with scheduling versus making a call to the CP or ACP. I even see seasoned pilots argue with them. I myself try to point the new guys in the right direction when scheduling tries to take advantage of them, but scheduling will always try anything they can to get you to do something that's not per the contract.

I also tend to think that if you treat others with respect, the favor is returned. Don’t give them grief.

What do you think it takes for a corporate pilot to be competitive? I have 6550tt 4100jet and 2750jet pic. I currently fly a Falcon 2000EX EASy but only have North American flight time and no international time. I also don't have any 121 time just 91 and 135 time. I have had cool titles in the past like DOM and Chief Pilot but do they care?
