Military folks
Just curious, not a knock on Kalitta y'all have a really good CBA, why not the legacy airlines? Is it the rotational scheduling so 16 plus days in a row don't matter? Home basing? Etc

If you're referring to me, I think it's the following: 1) High likelihood of flying the 747, 2) Home basing, 3) Varied trips, 4) They accept military pilots with >1,000 hours.

Major airline pilots commute, they stay at crappy commuter hotels, they have to deal with passengers, gate agents, and drama with flight attendants. Majority of them go to the same exact domestic overnights, they have to go through TSA security every day, spend a lot of time in passenger terminals. Identical to being a regional airline pilot, except with more days off and fatter bank account.
Reading the W2 thread, I am doing just as well as my mainline brothers with a much more interesting job in my opinion. If I didn't do the regional thing, perhaps I would be more inclined to do passengers. Thankfully I experienced it enough to know never again.

Are you flying the C-40 in the military? Otherwise I am sure they will ask why you have a 737 type rating.

I am not, all my time is T-34, T-45, and F-18. I have the type because it was an easy way to complete all the ATP requirements using the GI Bill and I thought using a large aircraft simulator would be more valuable for my personal experience than completing the practical in a small twin. That being said, I had a blast in the 737 sim.

I was only asked about it at places that only flew busses.
