Cargo Experience?

Just had a quick question for the cargo guys. Do cargo companies prefer that you have experience with flying cargo? I was thinking they would, because they want you to know what your getting yourself into, due to the fact that most of the flying is at night and it's very different from commercial as far as days on and days off? But, that's just me. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year!:)

In short, I'd say no. At FedEx anyway, we have folks from every background imaginable.

I would say the same at the airline I fly for very mixed bag. There are a number of just 135 pilots that have been hired.

Actually, I believe there is slightly more day flying than night flying since we picked up the postal contract here at FedEx.
