FYI MaxKts, I started this to inform others in a Pay Only status and who might consider bidding one of the six R24 buy up lines in the Sept bidpack (make sense?). I'm not sure where I said "the company is screwing us again" but I'll admit I said I'll write it off as BOHICA without saying who Bohicafied me , you be the judge. I do hope it's oversight and we get the pay that the LOA was meant to provide (I didn't negotiate it). In the big scheme of things, like a looming contract, our measly thousand dollars or so shouldn't divert the focus on achieving a win-win contract. I'll have faith in the system until the system fails me completely, I'm not at that point. The company and ALPA are discussing this, I'll keep the masses informed and hopefully not inflamed.

Has an arbitrator ever ruled in our favor when it looked so obvious?

Good luck, my experience with pay only issues says you are going to be sadly disappointed by the company. Even established issues have been changed by the company lately for the worse. If you want to know further PM me.

My point is that Post #1 and Post #8 combined would have been a better way to start your warning to those considering bidding in Sept.

I read Post #1 as - we have been screwed again by the company! - inflaming

I read Post # 8 as - well, we aren't completely screwed and we need to give it time to work things out. - informing

In between people are hunting for their pitchforks

I, for one, am thankful for the warning. We should all share tips on how to avoid getting hosed. It happens so often there is definitely an institutional bias to just let these "errors" happen. Do you think this would have been fixed without making a federal case out of it? I don't.

Don't expect to be notified of these problems on PFC or even be told about periodic server outages. All I see are cute messages about black helicopters and requests for stories.

We are going downhill fast.

Question Things that go "whoosh" through the night ...

Hey, Coffee Bltch (can't believe a screen name can't make it through the auto-censor),

What happened to your Negotiating Committee thread?

After telling us to stay off APC, it looks like they're paying attention, didn't like the press, and found a way to exert some influence.

Voíla! Disappearing thread.

Looks like ... but I certainly don't know. Do you?

If the mods think we're writing stuff on here that is unwise and will potentially get the union in some legal hassle, I for one, have no complaints about them removing it. We never do know when to shut up.

Just ask my family.
