I see scheduling allowing crew members to drop trips in the assignment window so they can pick up a longer trip. This is specifically not allowed in the CBA.

I call BS on the legal excuse. They don't have a list because it's what they desire.

To quote one VTO line builder "it's just a request" is how they would handle the PBS lines.

From what I understand, all trades and drops in the assignment window are at the schedulers discretion, and not actually against the CBA.
I have had them allow some things in the past that helped me out.
i.e. Trading one layover city for another so I could see my kids.

The political implications of helping them in a jam is another issue.

It seems there's no "no fly" list simply because you don't have a provision for one in the CBA. Period.

A "no fly" list is typically an FO function because

1). The lines are built from one seat first then "paired" with the other seat.
2). The captain has the ability to use his leadership and CRM to promote a healthy and functional flight deck, and should set a good tone - even with the "difficult" FO's.
3). Since the FO has fewer liberties in this department, and there are "rogue" captains out there, the bid goes to the FO.

Gee, thanks Capt Obvious for the education! I was totally confused about what a "No Fly" list was until now!

In his defense it is obvious from some of the posts that a couple of captains here don't understand the logic.

Sorry, just read through the entire thread again and I didn't get that impression

If your talking about Gunter's off topic post - well he is a special case and I don't think he will ever be completely in the game!
