Default FDX IOE requirements

What is the hours and legs requirement for IOE. I have searched the FOM, website and IOE guide with no luck. Thanks.

Been down that rabbit hole before. It took several instructors and finally somebody in IOE scheduling (MNGMT) to even come close to the correct reference. I finally found it in the AQP program manual Vol 002-000 pg-1.

4-legs and 2-landings for both Capt and FO
25 hours for all Capts
25 hours for new hire FO and 15 hours when transitioning from another FDX AC

Check the AQP manual for hours/legs reduction formula
See 121.405, 121.409, and 121.434 for more info

Send me a PM and I can send you a snapshot of the AQP page...don't want to post company documents on the this forum.

So it took more than one person to think to actually look into the FARs?

All Upgrade (same airplane, just changing seats) and Transition Capts (CA's but from different A/c) can be reduced to 12.5 hrs. Typically the training managers want 25 hrs for all CA's but I know some of our new CA's that got reduced for legs.
