Fedex FEPP
Thinking about trying EUR FEPP. How do you bid to relieve 757EUR CA? I've read the settlement and contract, but this is something that you need to get right. I know that many guys (Albie) and others have done thus for years.

FEPP settlement letter on grievance page of fxd.alpa.org is a great start. I need to reread the bidding instructions before I hand out any advice. I DO know you have to bid ALL seats at that pay rate at 100%. What I do not know is if you could put that choice BELOW a WB FO. IE…choice 1 CDG 757 Capt 100% . Choice 2 MEM A300 FO 100%. Choice 3 MEM 757 Capt 100%.
The only caution I offer once facts are determined is make sure you can live with the consequences. I was prepared to commute to HKG for the last 6 years. After a year or 2 on FEPP I figured even if I bought a ticket over or back I was way ahead. But…you got to be ready to go (or pay back or bid laterally). HKG was easy for me as I had friends there to trade trips, etc and a few of the lines were even (marginally) commutable. I don't see CGN being a very easy commute with the structure, but as long as you don't hit 30/7 type limits I guess you could trip trade to make it work. 2 legs to Stockholm, 4 leg nights, and rockets into TLV mean it can be work over there at times. Not an expert--talk to the guys who are doing it.
ALPA takes a lot of face shots here, but probably from guys how haven't made the phone call or gone over to the office. When I had questions on bids the CE folks were nothing but outstanding on answering the questions. My advice is ask the experts, and double check the contract.
I think with us going from 208 or so WB to 185, and the addition of 20+ NB 757s, the next few vacancy bids are going to have a lot more 757 Capt slots. FEPP may end up being academic, but I guess we'll know in a few months.
Good luck in any case.

If you could be excessed and hold NB Capt at a non-FDA base then you don't get FEEP. Each bid you'll have to bid EUR Cap first and all narrow body Cap slots below that.

This doesn't agree with what I heard from contract enforcement. I'm not telling you that I a right, but I was told that you could place the other narrowbody captain bids below your current bid. So, even though you could hold 757 captain in Memphis, it doesn't mean that you have to place it in your bid where you will actually be awarded the position.
Obviously, this is important for those looking at FEPP. Someone else want to call CE and verify this info?
