Did you fly fatigued? Did you do a Fatigue report?

This is a perfect example of the message that is conveyed when statements are repeated out of context. If you have a question, best to get the story from the horse's mouth. Email your SIG. The address is in the SIG notes.

Please put Safety First, and support your PSIT & SIG:

Straight from the SIG Notes:

#103 / 10NOV

#105 / 17NOV

#120 / 10, 17 NOV

#124 / 24NOV

#302 / 04, 05, 06, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 NOV

#346 / 10, 17 NOV

BFM-QRO, pairing 302, is a previously disputed pairing that has reappeared in November. We are continuing to dispute this pairing design based on risks associated with operating two legs critical into a high CFIT/minimal ATC international
destination.

TV-SYR-EWR-FLL, disputed pairings 103/105/120/124/346 contain an 11+01 layover before an 11+18 3 leg night duty period

Thanks,

In Safety...and Unity,

First, "Hats off" to the 757 Capts for showing leadership and attention to detail, as all of their Nov DPs remain in Open Time after the Nov View/Add & VTO processes are complete.

Unfortunately, the FO seat didn't do as well, as some DPs were picked up / awarded already --- many thru the VTO process

????

Some to very junior FOs...some to FOs not very junior

????

Let's all support the hardworking members of our SIG, and continue to communicate & educate both the short term & long term hazards associated with flying DPs voluntarily -- especially during peak!

Fly Professionally - Fly Safely - Fly Well Rested

In Unity,

DLax

Default At least she's consistent

DLAX,

Wow, did we ever fail as FO's, picking up many of those DP's.

One FO picked up not just one DP, she also piled on a second heaping portion of "f___ your buddy" by grabbing a second DP to add to the first.......at least she's consistent
Her employee number is not that junior either

I don't know the protocol, but is it legal for someone in the SIG to drop an email to these folks and "make them aware" of the fact that they're picking up DPs?

Of course it's NOT the consistency we need

We don't need people voluntarily flying DPs

We don't need pilots failing to pay attention when bidding in the View/Add window, building their VTO request or Trip trading in Open Time

Ignorance is not a sustainable excuse

Now, it's absolutely their prerogative, and perfectly legal and protected under the CBA, but it's very harmful in the short term -- and especially in the long term --- to everyone!

Does she know & understand this?

That's why our only venue is to communicate & educate

The SIG already did it's part by disputing the pairings and publishing it in the SIG notes

The responsibility lies with us both individually and collectively

We all have peers from our new hire class, we all have/had crashpad mates, we all fly with other smart, professional aviators

Hopefully, those that know her will take the time to communicate & educate --- then it's on her to do the right thing, the smart thing --- based on safety

In Unity,

DLax

Are there really any "junior' people here when it comes to DPs? I don't think we have anyone on probation right now. So everyone has been here at least a year. Plenty of time to know about DPs.
