"It's only the most important meeting of the 3-year cycle, the one where members nominate their representatives."

I thought people could nominate others by mail. So the most important meeting in three years by our representatives is a ceremonial one, where they get nominated? That's pathetic. Well, I guess to some, there is nothing more important than getting elected.

Tony you frikin stalker......get a life!

I love you man....while your watchdaawg mentality is an asset....it shouldn't be your hobby. Take up my offer to come play this fall. While this stuff is important......it's not as important as your relationship to God, your family, your country. On your deathbed (which I hope is long off) I guarantee you'll appreciate watching a beautiful sunrise, marveling at one of God's animals in it's natural environment, luring it towards you....then killing it and eating it much more than calendar stalking a political adversary. The world will not stop turning if you reduce your level of vigilance a little....(just a little)...in the interest of your well-rounded nature.

Better yet...climb a mountain....or at least a plastic facsimile in a parking lot on Kirby ;-)

Okay, that's kind of disturbing. Putting that all together in the same sentence sounds a little psycho. No offense intended to hunters.

It was said, of course, tongue in cheek. I do prefer to obtain and prepare my own carnivorous meals rather than pay a contract killer to dispatch and slaughter my meals for me then only selecting the tastiest parts wrapped in plastic and foam...pretending it did not come from a butchered animal.

That sounds psycho to me.....put that way...no offense meant towards supermarket shoppers.

I know you're saying most of that in jest, and your heart is in the right place. I was impressed by how you "let" your daughter beat you on the rock wall.

Looking at someone's calendar one time does not constitute stalking, right? I know my good friend Los1 was at the Council 26 meeting because we talked there. I also know that I was told the Howie didn't want to be at the meeting at all, but he was persuaded to at least start the meeting. We both know that Howie LEFT the meeting before it was finished. I was told he was leaving to catch a jumpseat home. Now, I was not IN the first part of the meeting -- I was outside the partition talking to some other people about the informational picketing event -- so I don't know what Howie announced in the meeting. But when he left, I was told (and have been told by others since) that he left to catch a jumpseat home.

So, when Los1 claimed that Howie was giving a line check, I knew there was a quick way to confirm or deny the claim. Part of me wanted to find a Line Check on the flying calendar so I wouldn't have to correct Los1. (He's already had enough of that from me in the Tweet. ) But, it is what it is.

As for me and my god, my family, and my country ... we're doing swell. My weekends generally include pulling a trailer full of band equipment to high school marching band contests around the region and bringing trophies home. I've been watching plenty of sunrises lately, and sharing pictures of the same. (The Cell phone camera just doesn't do them justice.) I've already early voted. And I've already got a recipe for B.B., the family rabbit.

I happen to care a lot about my family, and your family, and the other 4,298 or so families, and that's why I'm concerned with having the best people representing us. You know that whether we agreed on a particular topic or not, I took the job very seriously, and I think anyone who steps in to those positions should do the same -- for my family, and for yours.

... so we can enjoy the time stalking ... creatures ...

I like beef. Particularly filet mignon, which I prefer to think comes out of a tasty package wrapped in plastic and foam.

However, even if I enjoyed hunting, I can't imagine there is much sport in hunting a cow in a farmers pasture, chewing on grass and starring at you with those doe eyes. But each to his own.

Politics are what they are, I ran for block rep 3 times won twice (block2 and block one interim)and was defeated the third time. I always made it certain I never attacked my opponents, my letters only sent out my thoughts and were positive never anything negative about those I ran against. Not so true of those I ran against. A very negative campaign was put up by my opponents. They won the election, but were soon recalled by the members.
Point being negative talk about anyone publicly shows you have little positive to offer. So choose wisely
