Default Suggestions for a new roller board bag?

After 14 years my 22in Purdy Neat bag is due for retirement.

Can any of you recommend bags that have served you well, the Purdy was a little heavy and I'm going to go,for a 26in this time.

Thanks.

Luggage works executive. It has a plastic frame which is much lighter than the metal frame version. But I beat the heck out of mine and have had no problems at all with durability.

My Purdy Neat bag with the metal frame is bullet-proof but ... it's VERY HEAVY.

Many f/o's whine when pulling it out of the closet ... (obviously not US Navy pilots?)

Costco has a nice bag for about $100. It might not be as strong as some of the others, but Costco has always replaced anything I had an issue with without any hassle for virtually any damage or problem. Also, they treat their employees really well.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I went with the 26in from luggage works. If it lasts me 1/3 as long as the Purdy did I will be happy.

Cheers.

I'm glad you found a bag. I was going to regale you with my tales of woe in dealing with TravelPro. I've had multiple TravelPro rollaboards over the years. I've always been happy with them. First because they had the only rollaboards, then because they had great customer service. Recently I bought another TravelPro and within a year had a zipper rip off from where it was stitched to the fabric. To make the long story short, the TravelPro customer service people did everything they could to NOT help me with the problem. First they blamed it on the airlines (I don't check my bag). Then it was "normal wear and tear." You mean your bag is so crummy that zippers rip off in normal use? Anyway, I've bought my last TravelPro bag. I'm not unhappy with the bag, but I think there are other companies who make equivalent bags with better customer service.

I guess I DID regale you with my tale of woe!

Mac,
I thought about Travel Pro and also going the Costco route as suggested but then I looked at the bag Rock mentioned and realized it is made by the same people who made Purdy Neat Stuff. Anyway as I mentioned that PNS bag lasted me 14 years, I have checked it on Airlines likely more than 100 times and it still is usable, not attractive but usable. So I figure same design and close to the same quality I should be good to go for at least 4 or 5 years.
Sorry to hear about the issues with Travel Pro, I was always under the impression they made a great product.

All my bags are Costco very well made and classy look, does not scream "owned by pilot" which sometimes (overseas) is good to have

My first several years with FDX I owed several TravelPro bags. Approximately every 2 years I would send it back to them for repairs. Each time I would get a letter telling me it was not repairable and they'd send me a new one NO CHARGE. It was easy and painless, sorry to hear that's not the policy anymore as I still own TravelPro bags
