As a break from the negotiation drama, I offer huge kudos to the daughter of FDX Cap DP......his daughter is beautiful, talented, and moving right up the competition held on the network TV program: The Voice.
Support of a good family is evident.....:)

Jessie is amazing! So beautiful and sweet too, what a nice young lady. With that voice, she is going to sell a lot of records. I can't imagine a nicer family for this to happen to. Dan is an absolutely great guy. It cracks me up that online they have identified his occupation as "musician", nothing about being a FedEx pilot.

I'm sure they figure she'll get more votes as the daughter of a musician rather than a "rich airline pilot." The public is more likely to vote for a starving artist I guess.

I don't think it's anything as devious as that. The show does many interviews with the family, and chooses what they want to put on air, and put online. I think the point of saying the father was a musician was to show a connection, as to why the daughter has an interest in music. If you look at the other contestants, they also don't say much about what the parents do for a living. But they talk about whatever musical connection the parents have to the child. I'm sure for the people who progress, they will show more about their family life. It's purely a matter of time.

I know it's hard to get intent from an internet post. I wasn't saying it was nefarious. I actually think is it pretty smart (assuming it is true and not made up of course). I certainly wouldn't want to have the world digging into my life because my daughter was on a competition show. I think these shows end up being a personality contest by the time it get's to the final 10 or 12 because they are so talented by that point. The public is more likely to vote for the struggling musician rather than the privileged airline pilots daughter though. What they don't know certainly won't hurt them. What her father does shouldn't enter into it at all.
