FDX......No Practice Bid?

Ok, so its 1423L and the practice bid 3 is not released. I'm sure there are no surprises here, but it is amazing that it takes so long for them to publish this info on the days that they say they will. It probably takes about 10-15 secs of processing time max, and then another mouse click or two to publish.

For some, the results of this excess can mean real $$$$$ lost out of pocket. The indifferent approach management has to this reality is not lost on this crew force. Hmmmm.

Even my 19 year old kid is finally getting the idea that it is important to do what you say you'll do, when you say you're going to do it.

How long have you worked here? I missed the FCIF that said all practice bids would be released before 1423L. I'm sure it will be released soon. Does it really matter? Bid the base/aircraft/seniority that you want. If you can hold it you'll get it.

Yours,
Clutch

Well Clutch...I've been here 14 years. Thanks for asking. Certainly nothing says it will be released by a certain time. I did bid what I want. Just like last time I was excessed.....I flew as a Capt for three years and was kicked out leaving me with a pretty substantial pay cut.

So yes...it does matter.

Guess what? I wasn't the only one. For some on the edge, at least the practice bids give a little insight....particularly if they have to move from Anchorage....that demographic has been on the bubble for everyone of these types of things. I'm not worried about it, but It is now 4:07pm and not out. Practice bids don't change anything, but may be the first indication that it is time to change or adapt a financial plan. If they didn't mean anything, then why have any?

I know when asked, your response is "Let them eat cake". How long have you been anti-social?

I didn't mean to be snotty. They just always seem to post them very late in the day. Every time.

Toolbox driver will tell you it's never a lateral, always an upgrade. :D

Apologies to all for my buffoonery.

Clutch....actually I should apologize to you for being so sensitive....perhaps my new screen name should be "foreskin".

Thank you for that gracious response to my knee-jerk reaction. I guess I am more concerned about the excess than I want to admit.

Regards,

Jakal
