My block rep (4)wants to listen to him, Why shouldn't I listen to him?
MD11Hog you are wrong, Take 5 minutes and call your rep before you make inaccurate statements.

Its the same reason why the company went crying to the NMB about the crew force not flying anything extra and passing up draft, they rely on us being greedy. Same reason the union had to put out their latest emails 'warnings' not to post or promote your personal opinions, to cover all their bases.

Bottom line is the company is pulling out every tool in the bag to make sure the freight moves whether it be by scare tactics or threats. Me, speaking for myself, not promoting anything else, I know I'll be doing my part by flying my published schedule and then recovering from my night hub turns that I'm sure will be delayed every night!

Above all else, be safe out there!

I have no problem reading them. I understand the RLA (academically and in practice) and I find the PFC posting very informative. Yes I just said INFORMATIVE. What I mean by informative is that the latest PFC postings reaffirmed most of the information our reps have been passing to us. I'll even go a bit farther and say that this might be the first time I have personally heard the company directly say they want PBS and to transform our retirement plan. These are things our reps have been telling us all along...thanks PFC for strengthening my support for my negotiating team. I found the "we hope to never furlough" statement a bit misplaced and somewhat of an empty threat that only made the author look desperate to me.

Regardless of the "direct dealing" case law...I believe these communications to be an attempt to persuade my beliefs toward their desired outcome. As a result, I feel strongly they are trying to directly negotiate with me, rather than going through my negotiating committee and MEC. What’s more, they changed the layout of pilot.fedex.com, forcing me to see at the very least their titled communications.

I have a choice to select the link and be a part of their playbook (confessions of a union buster), or continue to support my MEC and negotiating committee. I will choose the latter, be patient and do my part.

Careful discouraging people from clicking the link could be collusion.

You don't want to get the MEC in trouble.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

That's funny. But not that far off the mark.

BTW, it's not to avoid getting the MEC in trouble. It's to keep me (and you) from paying a special assessment to pay a fine imposed after the lawsuit.

Under our Just Culture, management can put all sorts of outlandish statements in our way as we are trying to check FCIFs, e-mail and flight planning information.

It's simple really....If we counter on a public forum, and it's so easy to pick apart these "updates", we are liable for the harm exposing the truth causes the corporation.

I understand and I would never discourage a particular person from flying extra. I just like to post specific trips when they are drafting to help the schedulers out. If I were the union I would want to know when they are drafting for specific trips to make sure the company is complying with CBA. How can I be sure I didn't miss my shot at draft if I don't know they are drafting.

Good point. When people know they can call the scheduler and volunteer sooner.

We're frequently short handed for the holidays. I was having lunch at Wendy's today and it looks like they're hiring pilots (Crew Members) also?
