Upshiring

I'm not one of the doom and gloom guys on here, I'm squarely in the middle (I don't love it, nor do I hate it), but this is typical UPS. They can't figure out what they're doing today, much less 6 months down the road. Sorry you're being yanked around, but that's the way it goes around here.

The FO listing was pulled down around Thanksgiving, and today is the first day of the first workweek after the holidays...I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Give it a week or two (or ten?) and you'll probably see the posting reappear on upsjobs.

FO posting was up today. I reapplied (I was even prompted to change my password).
Sadly, after filling in all the boxes, checking all the marks, when I got to the end it said something akin to, "we receive a lot of applicants for few positions, at this time your app is no longer under review." (or some iteration of that.....)
This didn't happen the during the last window. The only thing that has changed is my flight hours have gone up. I wonder is pushing 12,000 TT and 10,000 PIC (6,000 turbine PIC) is putting me over the limit of their desired candidate?
Went back and loaded my browser history, here is what was displayed once I finished my application:
"Thank You
We have received and reviewed your background application information. Unfortunately, we currently have many qualified applicants and will not be able to schedule you for additional testing at this time. Thank you for your interest in UPS."

Bummer, sorry to hear that. I'm curious, did you have a UPS pilot recommendation? Did your previous app say "Active" last time around?

Previous app says/said active.
My one good connection at UPS that could vouch for my flying abilities and personal/professional integrity lost his life to illness late last year. It was a real drag to find that out when I called his house to ask to take him up on the offer for the recommendation he promised me so many years ago....

These forums are quirky, to say the least, as we try to translate our thoughts into words on a screen....
Plenty of unintended messages.....
