Delta Cuts More Memphis Flights
It's getting tougher to get to and from Memphis.

I foresee a time when FDX de-hubs MEM and looks for other cities to move their primary hub to. It's not that MEM ever goes completely away, but no DH options sure make IND or somewhere else a better option...and not soon enough. Memphis...Detroit with an accent.

Love my wife for letting me get that plane 10 years ago.... Seemed a little indulgent when there were 3 direct flights on Pinnacle from my hometown to Memphis. These days...not so much.
I have noticed pairings with Tuesday or mid week am launch trips going a bit more senior. Flying in on FedEx on Monday night vice commercial on Sunday makes life easier for some guys.

...yeah...it was an interesting conversation....
Her: "...so...you fly around the country 10-15 days a month for your airline. Then you come home, and 7-9 days a month you fly an F-15 over the Gulf. WHAT is it you are wanting to buy?..."
Me: "..you know those actors in adult films? You think they ever have sex when they go home?...."
Seriously--we have taken turns supporting each other's interests for 26 years. Permission? Never required, but its nice when the person you sleep with doesn't think you are complete idiot...and I did make a solid case. The investment is now amortized by 50%, as we have another pilot in the house now when my oldest got her license, so that makes it all the sweeter. Its nice to share the plane with the next generation of pilots.
The big winner in Memphis? Signature and Wilson Air... I have to believe that fractionals, corporate flight departments, and owner/operators are going to be doing more flying into MEM as the airlines draw back some.
