"Like everyone else, I don't need a thank you for service and I definitely don't need a pin. The biggest thanks I could receive from FedEx would be to be treated fairly, with respect, and legally when it comes to my military service.
Merry Christmas everyone!"
I agree! In fact, it generally just irritates me when someone says the generic, "Thank you for your service," line.
However, I don't think a letter sent to veterans is something worth complaining about. We have plenty of issues to be concerned with and it seems rather petty to be griping about who got a letter, the timing, the quality of the paper, etc.
Let's get on to the important things. Like the single ply tissue paper in the lav, the lack of real half and half in Indy, that kind of thing.

The whole awkward display, combined with other missives they've sent out this Peak Season, speaks volumes about their corporate culture, HR strategies and tactics.
Intentional, or unintentional, it communicates quite clearly

Whoaa there Skippy
When was the last time we didn't have total air superiority in any war or conflict? I'm not a history major but my guess was Vietnam. Ground pounders and helo guys I truly feel for. Your risk as a fighter, tanker or cargo guy is no more than my risk here in "Baghdad on the Bluffs". Yes there is risk but get over yourself being a Lt Col just so you'll have an extra retirement check when you turn 60.

Yep, I got it
Well, I see I wasn't the only one wondering if this envelope with a hole punched through...was...weak/odd/an after thought.
Good to know.
Yet, reading through this post (my last visit to this site was, hmmm, a year ago?) reminded me why I don't visit this site, much.
