"Like everyone else, I don't need a thank you for service and I definitely don't need a pin. The biggest thanks I could receive from FedEx would be to be treated fairly, with respect, and legally when it comes to my military service.

Merry Christmas everyone!"

I agree! In fact, it generally just irritates me when someone says the generic, "Thank you for your service," line.

However, I don't think a letter sent to veterans is something worth complaining about. We have plenty of issues to be concerned with and it seems rather petty to be griping about who got a letter, the timing, the quality of the paper, etc.

Let's get on to the important things. Like the single ply tissue paper in the lav, the lack of real half and half in Indy, that kind of thing.

.
Admittedly there has been some thread creep here; however, go back and read the original post and some discussion in the first 2 pages

The whole awkward display, combined with other missives they've sent out this Peak Season, speaks volumes about their corporate culture, HR strategies and tactics.

Intentional, or unintentional, it communicates quite clearly

Happy Holidays All...Keep Focused on Safety!

Maybe not a "greater loss", but a Soldier/Sailor/Airman/Marine dying in combat while saving another life is a "Greater Sacrifice" in my book than getting hit by a truck on the way to work...

Just my $.02 which loses value with inflation

"...Yes there is a risk...."!?!? What a massive blowhard! Only an absolute idiot would compare flying commercially to flying combat missions. I seriously hope I never share a cockpit with you and hear this garbage fall out of your pie-hole. Most soldiers serve their country because they LOVE IT, not for "an extra retirement check when you turn 60." You are a small, little deluded man.

Default Yep, I got it

Well, I see I wasn't the only one wondering if this envelope with a hole punched through...was...weak/odd/an after thought.

Good to know.

Yet, reading through this post (my last visit to this site was, hmmm, a year ago?) reminded me why I don't visit this site, much.
