Fedex - Slow Rolling 401K Deposits
 

I just got off the phone with Vanguard today and apparently our 1 Dec 2014 payroll deductions for 401K didn't get deposited from Fedex to Vanguard until 22 Dec 2014. THAT IS THREE WEEKS. Not acceptable, period. I really don't know how long this has been going on or if it is a one time glitch, but over a year we are talking about thousands of dollars of interest to the crew force as a whole that is going in someone else's pocket. Feel free to comment if someone has so information on this. Also, if anyone knows a good number at the company to call (besides payroll) to find out what is going on I would be interested to see that as well. Thanks.

Uhhhh...You sure about that date? My 11/30 contribution is dated 12/02 and the contribution from my 12/15 check is dated 12/22.

I'm curious why you would take the word of someone at Vanguard, when you can see the account dates online?

Point taken. I will do some more homework before I post. I was really calling and asking when the end of year contributions from the 31st check will hit the accounts. Got caught chasing rabbits.....

I get it and didn't mean to sound like a jerk. I just don't trust those call center folks all the time. :)

My deposit for year end shows on 2015 so I called Vanguard. They told me although it shows in 2015, it is really credited on 2014. However, I too have had payments take a long time to show up.
