Bidding FDX transition training
Expected to see myself as pay only next month, but am not. What is the best way to bid this. I can hold VTO and A reserve. Should I bid an A reserve line that has the first week off, or would it be better to bid VTO and try for the same thing, or something all together different? I start training on the 9th. Also couldn't find it in the contract anywhere. Help.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Anyone going to training should find the thread here that contains a lot of good info on how to bid. Also, the ALPA FedEx website has a great article titled, iirc, "Scheduling Matters". It's a must-read. If you can't find it, post here and I'll hunt it down and post a link when I get back to my computer.
Short story, your first month going to training bid any work days as late as you can, and as much as you can, under training. If you work a two week trip, have two days off, and then start training last two weeks of the month--perfectly legal however much it sucks.

OK, I read the union thing, but I have a question that I don't think was addressed.
Maybe I need to read it again.
Let's say you have training set for the last week of the month.
Question 1) If you bid and work your full BLG at the beginning of the month, are you eligible to put in for "training on a day off" for the days you go to training that were not covered by a trip? If not, you should be able to, IMHO. Perhaps something for the contract guys to fix?
2) If I have one large trip that covers the training foot print and more than the two extra day buffer, do I have to stand substitution for the days that are not covered? Do they ding my pay for those two days? Or do I still get bid line guarantee?

NO - you get to work double and only get paid BLG......

But,
FxBidLite is the bidding portion, and it is NOT on the blacklist.
You CAN bid on the company iPad and FREE!
