FDX - Oh Snap! - Message from JP
#2
What a sad letter. I just wasted 5 minutes that I'll never get back. Of course JP doesn't get it. He is no longer really all the connected to the line or the challenges within. I find it repugnant that he just flat out called the MEC chairman a liar and then suggests that finger pointing needs to cease. Pathetic.
JP, enjoy HKG! May you get a nice fat bonus out there...I sincerely doubt you'll get much of a warm reception.

Just more of the same - "we have been trying our best to screw you and ALPA (those bastards) won't play our game!"
What did you expect from the company side?
Also, any respect that I may have had left for JP is totally gone now!
On another note - the only thing I want to hear from our MEC is either announcing a TA or announcing a strike vote. Enough of the mamby pamby "things are going good, oh wait - the company is stalling emails!

Is that the same MEC Chairman who told us he wasn't running for national office, but then kinda sorta was until he was kinda sorta found out?
It's actually all pathetic. Maybe both sides need to replace the main characters and we start the process over

Very classy--I for one can DEFINITELY feel the love from his parting shot across the bow. Looks like our HKG pilots will live in "interesting times" indeed.

Basic FDX math
It looks like JP and PC need to get on the "same sheet of music". By my calculations, PC wrote that the Union is asking for $160,000/year/pilot (do the math). JP is now claiming $60,000/year/pilot (assuming a 4-year contract).
If JP is right, our Union has conceded $100,000/year/pilot and FDX is still not satisfied!!!!
Also, HKG FOs, expect to be bombarded by JP on your preflight, cruise, etc. about the awesomeness of PBS. Most FOs I have heard from, that have "politely" told him to s*T*f*U and talk about something else, have had a much better flight experience.

He isn't checked out on the Bus...
During peak, JP was flying as an FO...on the 11. He hasn't been on the bus in years. Even DJ that he replaced wasnt on the bus here.
In his new job, he isn't even in the same city that we operate of for the majority of his time and work.
I saw DJ twice in the past year, but never at work, only after hours. His job was operations and it wasn't to interface with pilots. I don't expect to see much of JP here. Which, after that missive I'd prefer not to be near him...he has always been what he is...management.(would write something else, but Thumpers mom says if you can't say anything nice-)
