" I just don't get it? "
I rarely post anything here. I am generally a quiet observer, but I just can't keep quiet after what JP posted today.
He stated that he just doesn't get it. Well this is what I don't get. You are an ALPA member and are part of a team that:
-wants to radically change our retirement,
-thinks PBS is a wonderful idea,
-fundamentally change our health care and,
-agree to an overall concessionary contract after FDX posted a $600 million profit last quarter?
You are right JP, you just don't get it and you never will. All you did today is strengthen my resolve and encouraged me to listen more intently to my MEC. Thank you!

Nothing management does is done in a vacuum. That missive had to be approved by higher ups and company lawyers. I just can't think for the life of me what any of them thought it would accomplish. I can't imagine there are any fence sitters left to try to influence to come on over the their side. The whole thing is just weird and drives a deeper wedge between the pilots and those who negotiate against the pilots. One things for certain, the HK guys need to be very careful, the new chief pilot isn't shy about letting everyone know where his loyalties lie.

JP, Why don't you share with your fellow pilots the deal you have with the company. It is no secret what our MEC officers are getting paid. JP, you have demonstrated over and over that you would throw all of the rest of your Union brothers under the bus to put another nickel into your own pocket. JP, your open letter to us was frankly insulting.
