It's juvenile, and you are annoying.
When I click on a thread to look at a new post, I don't want to see you saying, "What airline?". You are wasting other people's time, and it is so stupid, I can't believe you fly for a major airline.
Other forums I belong to have a "gump" button, which allows us to ignore idiots like you.

In reference to PC's latest missive on changing our training cycle to a 9/18 format, why do we have to follow the "industry best practice"? How can we possibly do what Delta, or American does? Do they get 6-8 CFM/FOM changes a year? Do they train to fly procedures that aren't even approved yet? (HUD and RNP approaches come to mind). Do they sometimes go 90 days without maintaining landing currency? Do they fly into uncontrolled airports at 5a.m.? The list goes on.....
Wy do we follow the "best practices" for a passenger carrier mentality? Shouldn't we be setting a "Cargo industry best practice" and what's right for OUR industry??? Shouldn't they listen to what their instructors are telling them? Should we train like we fight???
Again, I suppose, the almighty dollar rules, and $afety takes a back set where EL has been resting comfortably for years.
The "leadership" and "vision" of our senior flight management continues to astound and dismay me.
I suppose I'll lay off the caffeine now.....

There will be to few instructors left to keep safety a top priority (Profit, Bonus, Safety- New PBS)!
Reduction in Flex Instructors, savings on simulator usage (lay off a few computer Techs) is all part of their fall back plan if they don't get what they want at the NMB. It wouldn't surprise me if they offer us the 6/6 training cycle for something. I am sure JP will fill us in with another PFC message.

What do other airlines use? If I remember correctly, we had the same thing when I was at United. I don't think Jeppesen prints special "crappy airport familiarization pages" just for FedEx...
