The more things change, the more they stay the same. I'm reminded of this old letter to Ted from a different time.

While that old letter gets us worked up now the guy who wrote that letter folded as soon as they cocked the gun. We have since been optimized with the SIG side letter of agreement. I would be willing to bet that the lines and pairings from the Mook optimization in 97 or 98, are on par with what we have now.
We will continue to have cost neutral contracts until we are ready to take the risk to do what it takes to have our needs and demands met.

Someone needs to "trick" SS into publishing something similar.
Who am I kidding though? The guy I'm flying with tonight has TWO, yes, TWO days off in the entire Feb bid month. I'm in a bad business deal with a whole bunch of terrible partners!

I can say with absolute certainty that Frank Fato did NOT write that letter. I know who did. In fact, Frank was not really aware of what he was signing - he didn't read it through - when he penned his signature. As you might guess, management's reaction was not good. They had been exposed and exposed by someone that they thought was in their court. Frank was also unhappy that he had been "tricked" by some within the FPA.

I saw that episode. Hawkeye and BJ got Radar to put it in front of him while he was distracted and he signed it. Boy that was a funny show!
